The Four Horsemen: Writer's Workshops

This four-part course provides ways to master the Four Horsemen: Voice, Story, Character, and Dialogue. Click on the link above for information on upcoming sessions. Courses may be taken one at a time or over a single weekend.

Elena Hartwell, Ph.D.

Elena's first novel, One Dead, Two to Go, will launch in 2016. Published by Coffeetown/Camel Press, it's the first in the Eddie Shoes, Private Eye mystery series. Her work as a playwright has been seen around the country and across the U.K. She has taught at universities, colleges, and writers conferences for almost twenty years. She also works as a dramaturg and writing coach. Currently, she is the Literary Manager of Theater Schmeater in Seattle, WA. She holds a Ph.D. in dramatic theory and criticism from the University of Georgia, a Master in Education from the University of WA, and a B.A. from the University of San Diego in Mass Media Communication and Theater Arts. She has attended TheFilmSchool with Tom Skerritt, Stewart Stern, Warren Etheredge and John Jacobsen and has a Certification as a Teaching Consultant in Creative Writing through theNational Writing Project.
